 Dakota
Medical Foundation established the
Giving Hearts Day match
program to inspire others to support health-related
nonprofits in the region. All eligible Giving Hearts Day nonprofit
organizations participate in capacity building training through
Impact's Institute and are committed to superior performance.
On February 14th, 2008, also known as Giving
Hearts Day, over $14,000 was raised
for the Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley - all
in a 24-hour period!
Dakota Medical Foundation matched, dollar for dollar, any
online donation of $25 or more, up to $5,000.Over $9,800 was
donated by various friends and supporters of the House and
$5,000 of this amount was matched by Dakota Medical Foundation.
On behalf
of the Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors, its staff,
volunteers and the families it serves, a
heart-felt thank you to the donors who
gave with their generous giving hearts on Giving
Hearts Day and to Dakota Medical Foundation for gifting the
Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley with such a
wonderful opportunity to inspire others to support the mission
of the House.
