Dakota Medical Foundation
The opening of Fargo's second Ronald McDonald House was made possible by the generosity and goodwill of Dakota Medical Foundation (DMF). DMF owned the building now housing the south location of the Ronald McDonald House for almost 20 years as a "Family House" for families of their patients. The Foundation awarded this house to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley along with $50,000 to be used toward renovation of the building into a home-away-from-home for up to six families. DMF also offered an astounding $200,000 match grant which would become $400,000 dedicated to the refurbishing of the original "Family House".

On behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors, its staff and the families it serves, we extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Dakota Medical Foundation; without the foundation we would not have been able to "Double the Love" and serve twice as many families who need us.
